The same terms are in the app (menu About) and in the installer. This is a translation; if it differs from the Dutch text, the Dutch text prevails.

LICENSE TERMS NotebookSync

This is a translation of the Dutch license terms (Licentievoorwaarden). If the two differ, the Dutch text prevails.

1. Parties
NotebookSync ("the software") is licensed by Muldis ("licensor", info@muldis.nl) to the person who bought a license and whose name and e-mail address are in the license code ("licensee").

2. Free version
Without a license code, anyone may use the software free of charge, up to a maximum of 3 synchronised notebooks and without the link with the Outlook calendar and Microsoft To Do.

3. License
After payment the licensee receives a personal license code. It gives the licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use of all features, without a limit on the number of notebooks:
- for the licensee's own use;
- on at most the number of PCs that comes with the license (3 by default), all used by the licensee personally;
- for an unlimited period.

4. Updates
The license covers all versions released up to one year after the date of purchase. Those versions remain usable without time limit afterwards. Versions released later need a new or extended license; without it, such versions work as the free version.

5. Not permitted
- sharing the license code with others or making it public;
- selling, renting or otherwise making the software or the license code available to third parties;
- circumventing the license check or forging codes.

6. Data
The software runs entirely on the licensee's own PC. Notes go directly from the reMarkable files on that PC to the OneNote app on that PC (and back). The licensor receives no notes or other usage data. The license code is checked offline.

7. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". The licensor does its best to make the software work well, but does not guarantee that it is free of errors or fit for a particular purpose. Make regular backups of your notes yourself.

8. Liability
The licensor is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, including loss of data or notes. In all cases liability is limited to the amount paid for the license.

9. Third-party components
The software contains open-source components. They are covered by their own licenses (see "Open-source components").

10. Trademarks
reMarkable is a trademark of reMarkable AS. Microsoft and OneNote are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. This software is not made, supported or endorsed by them.

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law.

Buying through this website

You pay in advance through Mollie. Immediately after payment you receive the license code and the invoice by e-mail. Because the license code is digital content that is delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal ends once the code has been delivered; you give your explicit consent to this when ordering. Does NotebookSync not work as described? E-mail us and we will find a solution together.
